Lead Signals

Get a clear, prioritised list of SMBs who are ready for a conversation

Bring us your prospect data and Lead Signals enriches every record with 200+ live marketing signals: what their website runs on, how they rank locally, whether they're spending on ads, where they fall short on compliance and AI readiness. Segment on the gaps you actually sell against, and hand your sales team a list worth calling.

Segmenting on firmographics alone is like guessing who's hungry from their age and height. Score them on what they actually do online instead.

Inside Lead Signals

Your list, enriched and ready to work

Saved segments down the side, every business scored across the signals you care about, and a full Insites audit one click away on any row.

From a raw list to a call sheet, in three steps

No setup project and no data science team. Bring what you already have and we do the enrichment.

1. Bring your data

Upload a CSV of the businesses you want to know about. There's no practical ceiling, partners run this over millions of records.

2. We scan 200+ live signals

Every record is checked against its real online presence: website, SEO, listings, ads, social, compliance and AI readiness.

3. Describe who you want

Ask in plain language, say "plumbing businesses running WordPress with no Google Ads", and AI filtering builds the segment for you. Or set the filters by hand if you prefer.

4. Hand it to your team

Export the segment, push it into your CRM, or run a full Insites audit on any business with one click to open the conversation.

Enrich your leads with the data firmographics can't give you

Industry and employee count tell you what a business is. They don't tell you whether it needs what you sell. Lead Signals checks each record's live digital footprint and gives you back over 200 data points per business, so a name on a list becomes a business with a problem you can name on the call.

Describe the segment you want, and let AI build the filters

Two hundred signals is a lot to hold in your head, and most people never find the combination that matters to them. So you don't have to build the query. Say "businesses on WordPress with no booking widget" or "restaurants invisible in AI search" in plain language, and Lead Signals works out which signals that maps to and returns the matches. Every filter it builds stays visible and editable, so you can take over and tune it by hand whenever you want.

Send the best opportunities straight to your sales team

Once you've got the segment, get it moving. Export it, push it through the API into your CRM, or run a full Insites audit on any business in one click so your rep opens the call with a report the prospect actually wants to see.

The missing input for your lead scoring model

Lead Signals doesn't hand you a score. It hands you the evidence your score should be built on, and you decide what it's worth.

Why engagement scoring falls over on a cold list

Most lead scoring runs on how a prospect behaved towards you: emails opened, pages visited, forms submitted. That tells you who noticed you. On a market you haven't contacted yet, nobody has done anything, so every record scores zero and the model has nothing to work with.

What Lead Signals adds

The other half of the picture: the prospect's own live digital reality. Whether they rank locally, whether they're spending on ads, what their site runs on, whether they show up when someone asks an AI for a recommendation. That exists whether or not they've ever heard of you, which is what makes it useful before the first contact.

You own the weighting

The enriched data goes into your CRM as structured fields, and you score against it with your own model. That matters, because the signals that predict a close are specific to what you sell and to your market, and you know your close rates better than we do.

If you'd rather not build the model

Propensity scoring against your ideal client profile is one of the things we build into your Lead Signals instance as part of the contract, rather than something switched on out of the box. Worth raising on a discovery call if you want it scoped.

What's covered

There are over 200 signals in here. This is a sample.

SEO and local SEO
Rankings, listings, NAP accuracy, Google Business Profile, reviews and schema markup.
AEO and AI readiness
Whether a business is visible when someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity for a local recommendation.
Google Ads and Facebook Ads
Whether they're running paid, on which platforms, and how that's changed.
Website technology
CMS, hosting, email provider, ecommerce and shopping cart detection.
Social accounts and activity
Which platforms a business is on, and whether anyone is actually posting.
Data compliance
GDPR and CCPA exposure, cookie handling and policy coverage.
Accessibility and WCAG
Where a site would fail an accessibility check, and how badly.
Content quality
Spelling, grammar, thin pages and the content issues that undermine credibility.
Conversion basics
Contact details, booking widgets, live chat and the things that turn a visit into an enquiry.

Built around how your team actually works

Lead Signals runs on our API, so the way data gets in and out is shaped to your setup during onboarding rather than forced through a fixed integration. These are the things partners most often ask us to build, and we scope them with you as part of the contract.

CRM and API pipelines

A direct pipeline into Salesforce, HubSpot or whatever you run, so enriched records land where your reps already work.

Change detection

Alerts when a prospect's presence shifts, for example a business that just started running Google Ads or moved onto a new CMS.

Propensity scoring

A score per record against your ideal client profile, for teams who would rather not build the model themselves.

Market intelligence

Aggregate views across a territory, like the share of plumbers in a region with no mobile-ready site, to point your campaigns.

Directory publishers
Moving from print to digital, with a large base of local advertisers to re-engage.

Lead Signals
questions

What is Lead Signals?

Lead Signals is the data engine inside Insites. You bring a list of businesses and it enriches every record with over 200 live marketing signals, covering websites, SEO, listings, ads, social, compliance and AI visibility.

The point is qualification at volume. Instead of a spreadsheet of names, you get a dataset that tells you which businesses have a problem you sell against, so your team can prioritise before anyone picks up a phone.

Can I use Lead Signals for lead scoring?

Yes, and this is one of the most common reasons partners buy it.

Traditional lead scoring runs on engagement: emails opened, pages visited, forms submitted. That measures who noticed you, not who needs you. Lead Signals supplies the other input, the prospect's actual digital footprint, as structured data you can ingest into your CRM and score against your own model. You control the weightings, because you know which signals predict a close in your market.

If you would rather not build the model yourself, propensity scoring against your ideal client profile is something we build into your instance as part of your contract.

What kinds of businesses is Lead Signals built for?

Any team selling digital marketing products to small businesses at scale. That includes directory publishers moving from print to digital, telcos and ISPs bundling websites and SEO, newspapers and broadcasters selling digital to local advertisers, hosting and domain companies adding managed services, vertical SaaS platforms expanding into marketing, niche agencies working a single vertical, and banks offering digital services to business customers.

The common thread is volume. If your sales process runs across thousands or millions of businesses, the hard part is deciding who to call first, and that is the part Lead Signals answers.

What is AI-powered lead finding?

It saves you having to know which of the 200+ signals matter. Describe what you sell, or who you want to target, in plain language, and Lead Signals works out which signals that corresponds to and returns the matching businesses.

Say "dentists on an old CMS with no online booking" and it builds that segment. The filters it generates stay visible and editable, so you can adjust them by hand or start from scratch if you'd rather drive it yourself.

How many businesses can I enrich?

There is no practical ceiling. Partners run Lead Signals across millions of SMB records.

Your annual allowance is set in credits, so you choose the shape that suits you. The same allowance can cover a very large one-off enrichment, a smaller base re-checked quarterly, or a smaller base still re-checked every month.

How do I get my data in and out?

CSV upload is the quickest way to start, and enriched segments export the same way.

Lead Signals runs on our API, so a direct pipeline into your CRM or data warehouse is something we scope with you during onboarding rather than something you configure yourself. It gets built around your systems, which is usually what large partners want anyway.

What kinds of signals does it scan?

Over 200, including CMS and hosting technology, Google Ads and Facebook Ads presence, local SEO and Google Business Profile health, review volume and rating, social accounts and posting activity, GDPR and CCPA compliance, accessibility, site speed, spelling and content quality, booking widgets and live chat, contact details, ecommerce detection, and AI search visibility.

The full list is walked through on a discovery call, since which signals matter depends entirely on what you sell.

How is this different from batch auditing in Insites?

They solve different halves of the same problem, and plenty of teams use both.

Batch auditing is part of the core Insites platform. It runs full audits across a list of up to 10,000 businesses, and you get back complete, shareable reports you can put in front of a prospect.

Lead Signals works at a different scale and answers a different question. It enriches far larger datasets, millions rather than thousands, and it is built for segmentation and prioritisation rather than for producing a report per business. Many partners use Lead Signals to decide who is worth pursuing, then run a full Insites audit on the shortlist.

How does pricing work?

Lead Signals is a separate annual contract from your Insites subscription, priced on an allowance of credits that reflects how many businesses you check and how often you re-check them. If you go past the allowance, extra checks are billed in arrears at a rate agreed up front.

Because the integration work is scoped to your systems, we price it after a conversation about what you need rather than from a list. A discovery call is the quickest way to get a number.
