Measure how easy the text in your website is to understand.
The reading age of your website signifies the approximate level of education required to understand it. Insites measures this difficulty, and helps you identify parts of your site that may be hard for your audience to read:
Insites calculates the reading age for every page in your site, and for specific passages within these pages. It also tracks the average for all of your pages over time.
You can define your own readability targets, and identify pages which are hard, acceptably difficult, and easy to read.
Insites uses the SMOG readability formula with artificial intelligence to identify and ignore parts of a page not relevant to readability. For example, we ignore navigation and footer content automatically.
You can choose to exclude specific parts of your website or webpages where reading age is not appropriate to check. For example, you may wish to exclude your terms and conditions, or user’s comments.
Your team can be emailed automated readability reports on a schedule. You can divide your pages into segments, and report to people based on their area of responsibility.
